House Appropriations Committee Sets Budget Hearing Schedule

The House Appropriations Committee Friday released the schedule of hearing dates on Gov. Wolf’s FY 2017-18 budget proposal. The hearings for the departments of Environmental Protection and Conservation and Natural Resources will both be on February 27. The hearings will be held in Room 140 of the Capitol Building on these dates--
-- February 21-- 10:00- Independent Fiscal Office/Economic & Revenue Outlook; 1:00- Department of Revenue/Lottery; 3:00- Department of Aging. 
-- February 22-- 10:00- PA State Employees and School Employees Pension Funds; 1:00- Department of Labor & Industry; 3:00- Public Utility Commission. 
-- February 23-- 10:00- State Treasurer; 11:00- Auditor General; 1:30- PA State System of Higher Education; 3:30- Attorney General.
-- February 27-- 10:00- Department of Environmental Protection; 1:00- Department of Conservation and Natural Resources; 3:00- Department of State. 
-- February 28-- 10:00- Judiciary; 1:00- Department of Corrections/Board of Probation & Parole; 3:00- Department of Health/ Department of Drug & Alcohol Programs. 
-- March 1-- 10:00- Department of Agriculture; 11:30- PA Higher Education Assistance Agency; 12:00- Thaddeus Stevens School of Technology; 1:30- Department of Transportation; 3:00- Department of General Services.

Rep. Stan Saylor (R-York) serves as Majority Chair of the Committee and Rep. Joe Markosek (D-Allegheny) serves as Minority Chair.
